Built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, The National Shooting Centre is the home of competitive clay shooting in the UK regularly hosting the British team. The superb ranges were completely updated in 2022 with the installation of all new traps and acoustic release systems. As part of this work the training ranges were significantly expanded and a Sportrap area was installed to maximise the shooting experiences available.
The ground caters for shooters and groups of all abilities from Olympic Medallists through to those taking their first shots, from families through to corporate teams.
Our team of dedicated coaches make full use of our multiple training ranges to ensure that all participants have an unrivalled experience and an unbeatable time.
The magnificent, glass fronted pavilion offers newly updated toilet facilities, a terrace overlooking the ranges and a fantastic café offering a range of hot and cold food and refreshments. Extensive car parking and easy access for disabled shooters make this an ideal venue for all shooters
Just some of the facilities on offer include parking for up to 100 cars, clubhouse, excellent catering, toilets, first class tuition, refreshments. The superb new layouts are equipped with 72 Promatic traps and offer impressive facilities for clay shooters of all abilities. The facilities include computer controlled scoring, trap sequencing, acoustic release (on all layouts) and covered stands, all of this against the backdrop of over 3000 acres of unspoilt Surrey heathland A magnificent new pavilion has been built which provides a focal point for the complex and includes catering facilities and terrace overlooking the grounds and final layouts. There is extensive car parking available for over 100 vehicles is easily accessible to disabled.

Expert tuition from some of the top shooters in the country will see you downing more clays than you would have thought possible. All equipment provided. Please note shooting range is closed on Mondays
Price is based on per person and has a maximum group size of 12 and a minimum group size of 3.
Important: Please note the min age is 12 years old, however this does also depend on the size and physical ability of the junior.
Clay shooting can be done by 10, 11 and 12 year olds, they just need to have the physical ability to hold the guns and shoot. This will be assessed on the day with the instructors.

Great day out. our instructor Reg was a top bloke he really made the experience, answered all our questions was very knowledgeable and put us all at ease right from the first minute.
I organised a birthday event for my son. The instructor, Reg, was excellent. Gave very clear instructions, friendly, 1 to 1 guidance. The boys had an amazing time. Excellent facilities and really easy to organise. Instructions on how to find the location sent in advanced and they were very detailed and meant I easily found the site. Lots of parking. Highly recommended. Hope to be back soon.
Had a great time, hadn’t shot for nearly 10 years but soon got the hang of it again with the help of our wonderful instructor.
Excellent morning, really enjoyed the experience and am looking into another session.
The instructor was very clear and very knowledgeable, safety and patience were at the forefront but enjoyment is not left off the list.Reg was a wonderful teacher and I’ll come again

We were bought this experience as a present and given it’s something we would not have ordinarily booked we enjoyed it very much. On the day our instructor was “Reg” and we found him to be both very professional and knowledgeable. He made us feel at ease and was happy to answer any questions, he didn’t rush us in any way and wanted to make sure we were both safe and comfortable in what we were doing. He guided us at our own pace to make sure we experienced what we were doing to the fullest - a very nice man.
We had Richard take us on our shooting experience and he was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend him enough, when we go next time we will definitely be asking for him again!
