Taster Session Skills Course
The aim of this course is to introduce the participant to the basic techniques required in off-road mountain biking. Learn simple techniques to improve balance and control, how to set off safely, starting on a hill, basics on gears, safe use of brakes.
Bring your own bike. It is strongly recommended that the bike be fully serviced by a competent person prior to the course. Mountain Bike Skills suggest all riders using their own bike to bring with them a spare set of brake pads/blocks.
We also have a selection of bikes for hire starting form as little as £15 per day for a basic hard-tail mountain bike with suspension forks.
No experience needed but you will need a basic level of fitness which can be gained by a few aerobic work-outs per week on the run-up to the course: riding outdoors, stationary bike or spinning classes are perfect
Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 1pm (approx).
